What Makes a Source Credible For a Research Paper?
What Makes a Source Credible For a Research Paper? So, you're about to write your first research paper and now you need to know what makes a source credible for a research paper. In my opinion, the best thing to do is just not look at it as research paper. To me, writing a research paper and writing an academic article are two different things.Writing a paper should be about expressing a specific idea, sharing expertise or to create and express something new. For me, the difference between research paper and academic article is that writing an academic article needs to be written as if it is a thesis statement rather than a short research paper. And that is fine as long as you do not reveal anything that could actually hurt you in any way. We're all capable of making mistakes in both scenarios. On the other hand, writing a research paper and writing an academic article will always be open to criticism. No matter how good or how bad you make the point, it is always there to be questione d. That is true even if you are suggesting your argument. And no matter how true your view, there will always be people who will question it. That is because nobody knows you so they have to look at your arguments and see how well they mesh with the existing evidence and the facts of the world. And even if your opinion and premise are correct, there will always be some people who will still find fault with it and offer their own reasons why they believe a different, more respectable conclusion. The only thing is, they will never reveal their identities.Well, that is just fine with me. It does not mean that if you give up your anonymity that you become an unassailable authority on your subject matter. If you want to be accepted as an expert, then I think it is always good to be more than an anonymous expert. The bottom line is that it does not really matter what makes a source credible for a research paper. The only important thing is that you come up with an interesting thesis and tha t you present it well. It may sound simplistic but the only real test is when someone asks you 'why is your opinion of the way it is?'As long as you manage to satisfy that basic need of people, you can do almost anything with your research paper. If you give them an interesting reason to support your position and if you actually have some points to show for your work, then you have done well.So what makes a source credible for a research paper? It is not that hard to determine. What makes a source credible for a research paper is a good thesis, reasonable conclusions and clear methods.
